Rich Campisi 1944-2022 ~ Richard Anthony Campisi age 78 born in Chicago Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022, after an 11 year fight with Lung cancer.
Rich willingly enlisted in the US Marine Corp Corps in 1963 to serve our country in the Vietnam war as Lieutenant Marine. He longed to return home to marry his childhood sweetheart Marlene and start a family with the love of his life. He was a proud local 701 electrician, where he made many life long memories and great friends. His laughter and humor was infectious and hereditary in the life of his sisters, Joan and Barb as well as his children and grandchildren. Rich created happiness wherever he went, both in life and in the sharing of his perfectly made meatballs.
Rich lived an entire life of loyalty and integrity, preserving through all life has brought him, most especially in his final weeks of life.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Campisi; and his eldest sibling Barbara Campisi; and loving late wife Marlene Campisi.
He is survived by his beloved sister Joan Dutchak; caring children Kelly and Rick Campisi; and adored grandchildren Grace, Isabella, Joseph and Ava.
Rich lived a life that modeled laughter and sacrifice. Leaving behind a great example of both strength and joy endured as one. May his his laughter and remembrances continue to do the same for us , as he rests peacefully in the fullness of Heavens embrace.
