Lee Joseph Archambault

Lee Joseph Archambault. Beloved husband of MaryAnn (nee Juliano). Loving father of Lee (Kelly) Archambault and Julie (John) Chlebicki. Devoted son of the late Leroy and Helen (nee Lovell) Archambault. Cherished grandfather of Jamie (Mark Huber) Archambault, Matt (Liz) Archambault and Mari (Austin) Cortez. Great grandfather of Josie Lee Huber. Dear brother of George (Jan) Archambault and the late Ann Mesch, William Archambault, Richard Archambault and Betty Nelson. Lee was born in Bellwood, IL on August 26, 1932 and grew up in Bellwood before moving to Forest Park, IL. After attending Proviso High School (now Proviso East), he worked as an auto body repairman as a young man. Like all three of his brothers, Lee served honorably in the United States military. Lee actually had two stints in the military; he served in the US Army from 1951-1952 and then the US Air Force from 1953-1957. During his military service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Army Occupation Medal (Germany). Lee met his future wife, MaryAnn Juliano, in 1958 and they wed on April 25, 1959 at St Francis of Rome Catholic church in Cicero, IL. They initially lived in Forest Park, IL and had their first child, a son (Lee), on August 25, 1960. The family moved to Bellwood in 1962 and welcomed their second child on December 28, 1965, a daughter (Julie). Lee and MaryAnn raised their family in Bellwood until 1983, at which time they moved to Addison, IL. Lee and MaryAnn moved to Bloomingdale, IL in 2020. Lee served his community as a firefighter for the Village of Westchester from 1964-1980, retiring after a service related injury. He then worked with a long time childhood friend in the heating and air conditioning business until ultimately retiring at about the age of 70. He had a passion for aviation and became a private pilot and certified flight instructor for several years in the late 1960s/early 1970s. It was in this role that he inspired his son to a career in military aviation. After retiring, Lee’s favorite hobby was golf. He spent a good part of his life on the links at Old Wayne Golf Club in West Chicago, IL. Throughout his life, he was a devoted family man and patriotic American. He was most proud of his two children, three grandchildren, and great grandchild. Lee made his final
flight, to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 29, 2023.
