John T. Sofere, age 88, beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Rinaldi); Loving brother of Sara (Douglas) Myers, the late Joseph (Louise) Sofere and the late Anna Battaglia ; dear uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired recreation park director for the Chicago Park District, and he was active in many clubs and political organizations. Funeral Tuesday, family and friends are asked to gather at 9:00 a.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. 60172 (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.)
