Dear Lindsey and Family, The first time I met Johnny was maybe October of 1976 at Calamity Janes a bar in Glenview Il. and I was talking to a cute young lady and all of a sudden this guy who looked just like a young good looking John Connolly charged in to tell me not to talk to her. Turns out she was the girl friend of one of his friends and I think he was the group enforcer I guess. Well I was there with a whole bunch of my friends and this could have turned ugly but it did not. Years later we met at Genigraphic's and became great friends in the mid 1980's and we were talking about the old days and this story came up ad we both remembered it and laughed like crazy. John and I have been working together ever since! That's 44 years from 1976 Johnny is truly a lucky man, he accomplished a lot in his life, he married a smart beautiful woman, helped raise a wonderful family, built a great company in Midwest Media Group and he touched a lot of lives. John did all that while keeping a calm way about him. In all the time I've known him he never raised his voice in anger or said anything nasty about anyone, he always made his environment a great place to be. And he was so creative and funny. Most people don't come close to doing anything like that! So, I know is we will all Miss You John, and I also know you will be walking and talking with God right now. Who know's maybe you will be doing your Victor Borge schtick for him right now!

I worked for John for 12 years. He gave my break in my career, became my mentor, and a dear friend. John's spirit and attitude made coming to work everyday fun. I have so many great memories of John that I will never forget. We had so much fun together. I will miss him dearly. Johnny C was the best of the best. All of the love in the world from the Tohtz family to the Connolly family.

Dear Lindsay and family, The first time we met John, we could tell he was a wonderful, caring man. Along with many others, we'll miss his gentle spirit, his warm welcoming smile, and his sense of calm. We remember him as a talented business man and a true family man, who loved each of you so much. I'll always remember, years ago, in the midst of Greg's Thanksgiving Day ice hockey tournament schedule, he was happy to help Lindsay host aprox. 50 +people for Thanksgiving dinner at their home, with a huge smile...What a guy! May all the wonderful memories you have of John bring a smile to each of your faces. Knowing of the peace he now has in his eternal life will hopefully begin to heal everyone's broken hearts during this sad time. With our deepest condolences, Chris & Larry Pecorella and family

Johnny C. My now up in heaven father-in-law used to use a simple expression of someone he admired and thought so much the most of, "He's just a good man." A few words without a lot of adjectives, but says so much. That was you, my dear friend for so many years. We shared so many laughs, hugs, cocktails of course, but most of all, just so much trust and friendship. You were, and still are, a beacon for any of us lucky enough to have had you in our lives. Truly, a good man. Love ya, bud, I'm sure you're smiling up there at the legacy you left behind and how you lived your life. Godspeed to your family. Can't wait to see you again, Tom Duff

“Life is not a dress rehearsal.” One of the best statements you have ever said and I fully believe you lived every day with no regrets, fighting tooth and nail up until the very end to ensure those you loved were happy, healthy and free from harm. The people who you worked with, befriended, and treated as family will forever hold you in their minds and hearts--keeping your vivid spirit alive and well. Rest easy, you deserve this peace.

John will be greatly missed. It was always a highlight of my day when I got to have meetings or share meals with John. As a young professional in the same industry I looked up to John, and his constant kind words and reassurances meant the world to me. I hope all of the Connolly family knows how much of an impact John had on so many people.
