James P. Powers, 80 of Carol Stream, Illinois passed away on Wednesday June 17, 2020 with his wife and sons by his side. Beloved husband of Carmen Ann, devoted father of Peter (Theresa), Tony (Linda), Jim, and Dan (Debbie). Loving son of the late James and Olympia Powers. Dear brother of Patricia (late Ken) DeHaan of Florida.
Dear brother-in-law of Yolanda and Phil Strutzel. Dear Grandfather of Nicholas (Jordan), Stephanie Michalowski, Samantha, Jacob, Ashleigh, Alyssa, Zachary and Hope. Great Grandfather of Aiden, Kameron and Finn. Dear Uncle of Jovita (Kent) Kerns, Joe Strutzel, late Craig DeHaan, and Jennifer DeHaan.
Jim enjoyed hunting, archery, and previously served as a baseball coach for his 4 sons. He was also a die-hard Cubs fan.In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart or American Cancer Association appreciated
