Beloved husband of Olimpia Farina nee: Spavone; Devoted father of Rino (Sue), Pino (Lisa) and Adriana (Scott); Loving son of the late Gennaro and Concetta : Fond son-in-law of Rita and the late Joe Spavone; Dear brother of Gennaro, Giuseppe, Anna, Lina, Susetta, Patrizia and brother-in-law Carmela Boccia and Tony Spavone and the late Frank; Dear Nonno of Elisabeth, Luca, Austin, Madyn and Kylan; Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. “Franco was born and raised in Naples, Italy. At age 28 he met and married the love of his life, Olimpia and moved to Chicago to build his life and start a family. There, with his father in law Joe Spavone, he began his career in the restaurant business. Franco enjoyed entertaining his many friends and guests for years at Spavone’s Seven Hills restaurant in Glenview. He was a proud and devoted family man who always loved spending time surrounded by his children and grandchildren. We will miss him dearly and carry his love in our hearts forever.”

Sorry for your family's loss. I meet Franco as a fourteen year old bus boy at Sevenhills when it was on Peterson Ave in Chicago. He showed me how to be engaging with the dinners and how to make them friends. Years later I took my father to the restaurant in Glenview, I pulled up in a red convertible sports car and Franco said you need a pretty girl with you. Pleasant memories of him. RIP

Our deepest condolences to the Farina family. May all the beautiful memories of your time together help you in this difficult time.
