Dolores M. Lasota (Baron)
June 5, 1937 to November 11, 2024
Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George Jr.; Devoted Mother of George (Dawn), Cheryl (Steve) Savegnago and Geoffrey; Adored Grandmother of Danielle (Vlad) Koveshnikov, Kira Savegnago and Rachel Lasota; Loving Sister of Bernadine (late Chris) and Mary and the late Eugene and Joan; Fond Aunt to many nieces and nephews;
Dolores always said she was a Daddy’s girl so it was not surprising that she passed away on November 11th, the same day her Dad did in 1953. Dolores loved spending time with her 3 granddaughters playing the Bride game, making up silly songs and going to all of their school activities. She loved talking on the phone with her best friend, Marge for hours. In fact, the coiled phone cord stretched to all areas of the house. She loved the holidays. Every year she hosted Thanksgiving, Christmas and 4th of July. Dolores loved to read. Her autographed books were some of her most prized possessions. She loved Snow White, James Dean, Jane Powell, Disney World, Sweets, the South, Praying the Rosary, Gardenias, and especially being Polish. Dolores was a member of St Matthew Parish in Glendale Heights for almost 60 years. She was very involved with the school and church. Dolores was a member of the Women’s Club where she was honored with Woman of the Year in 2009. She volunteered for many school activities including being a founding member of Bingo. She received a certificate for outstanding citizenship in 1978 from the Glendale Heights Jaycees. She wrote the Countrysider flyer for Glen Ellyn Countryside for over 40 years.

I am so sorry to hear of Deedee’s passing. She was always the most kind and loving. She always made me feel like one of the family. I will always have very fond memories of our family trips to Disney World, her July 4th parties, and all the many gatherings I grew up being a part of. I know that George was waiting for her and happy to hold her once again. You will all be in my prayers that God holds you close during this very sorrowful time.
