Bruce Blackstad, age 69, suddenly. Beloved husband of Mary (nee McDevitt) of 38 years. Loving father of Katie (Nick) Ludescher, Sara, and Norine (Robert Jr.) Bansfield. Blessed with two adoring grandchildren, Juliet and Zachary, two more (twins) on the way. Loving son of the late Werner and Esther Blackstad. Loving brother to the late Ruth Hansen, Joyce (Joseph) Quitter, and Paul. Best friend to Buddy, many long walks together and faithful feeder of Hazel, the cat. Longtime employee of ADT (Tyco), retired after 35 years of dedication. Avid golfer, Member of Streamwood Senior League. Visitation Thursday July 18 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon St., Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. Funeral services will conclude following Mass.
