Rosemary L. Alvino, was born on February 1, 1932 to the late Mario and Mary Conforti. She passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 92, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Alvino whom she married in April 1956. Rosemary valued and cherished family. She was the loving mother of Ilario “Larry” (Leslie) Alvino, Mario (Pamela) Alvino, Frank (Dawn) Alvino, and Mary (Dominic) Fiordirosa. Rosemary was resilient, raising her young children on her own after her husband passed away in 1967, at the young age of 38. She was the grandmother of Christopher (Lisa) Alvino, Gina (Nicholas) Martin, Frank (Allison) Alvino, Lina Alvino (fiance Deep Vora), Nicolette (Edwin Henry Stade IV), Noel Smith (mother Ann Marie Walls- deceased), Angela (Matt) Scott, Camille Alvino (boyfriend Joseph Seybold) and Christina Fiordirosa (fiance Mark Shanahan). “Nana” as her grandchildren called her, was known for her sassy and humorous comments and loved to make her grandchildren laugh. She welcomed significant others and close friends and treated them as if they were family. Even people who were not related to her would refer to her as “Nana.” Everyone loved her famous eggplant parmesan, baked macaroni and cheese, and butter cookies which she enjoyed making for her family. Recently, her greatest pride and joy had been her 5 great-grandchildren; Gia, Emerson, Grace, Liam and Isabella. “Big Nana” as these kids referred to her, loved to sing, read books, and have fun with her great-grandkids. She is preceded in death by her loving aunt, Lina Santini. “Auntie Irm” was a wonderful woman who had a profound impact on Rosemary and her children.
Rosemary leaves an unforgettable legacy and a place in our hearts forever.
