Lou Batalla-Toya was born in the Philippines on February 10, 1962. She passed away at 62 years of age. Her loving parents, the late Domingo Morales Batalla and Virginia Batalla tenderly raised her in the Philippines where Lou studied at Perpetual Health and became a medical doctor like her mother. Lou’s brother Rey Matthew Batalla and sister Maria Rita Teresa Batalla (Tess) live in the Philippines. Lou gave her life to Jesus and soon moved to the United States. Her best friend and cousin (referred to her as sister) Lynette Mackowick followed her to the States.
Lou married Tom Toya on June 28, 2002. They had 22 blessed years together. Lou and Tom owned and ran a Home Care Agency called Ardent Care Health Group, Inc. They cared for the elderly and blessed families through this business. Lou had a joyful and bubbly personality and was always generous. Lou was never afraid to speak her mind. Her contagious kindness blessed many people. We will always remember her with fondness and great love. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be greatly appreciated to cover medical expenses. A zelle account under Thomas Toya 630-456-0922 has been established.
Thank you for celebrating her life with us.
