Visitation Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Salerno's Rosedale
Interment: Private

Kathy Franklin, lovingly known as “Nana,” passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 71. The oldest of six siblings, Kathy will be remembered for her caring spirit and kindness. Daughter to the late William and Antoinette Franklin, she was a beloved sister to Barbara, Marianne, Kim, Gina and Kelly. Kathy was a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Brittany (Brandon), Ray, Sammy, Alex, Joey, and Charlie, who will always treasure her love. Watching her grandchildren grow was one of her most cherished achievements. She was full of life and had a passion for crocheting, spending countless hours weaving love into every stitch. Kathy’s memory will continue to wrap around her loved ones like the very yarn she so skillfully worked, offering warmth and solace. She joins her parents, sister, and many loved ones who have been waiting for her in heaven. Though she will be missed dearly, her love, compassion, and memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Kathy was a strong, dedicated and wonderful person. She took her work seriously, spoke her mind and didn’t take crap from anyone. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with her for a number of years. I’m glad she lived her final years happy and loved. You will be missed!

Kathy, we are so grateful we got to be friends through Norm! Even though the beach was not your favorite, we had many great times both in Illinois and North Myrtle Beach. You left an impression in our hearts and will be missed!

Hey Kathy, You talked about retiring all the time. I'm so glad that you did and got to enjoy life without the worries of returning to work. You were one cool lady and I am glad that we met, you guys would call me and ask me to come over. I would setup the computer and we would hang out the rest of the day. You will be missed my crazy, wild friend. Look down over us once in a while from up there in heaven. I will still be down here acting a fool. Until we meet again take care my friend.
