How do you say good-bye to someone who made you exactly who you are. Someone who taught you everything you know, instilled your morals and values and love for tradition. I can't express the void you're leaving me with Gram, you're not just my grandmother, you're my other mother. I would give anything to fall asleep again on the couch and wake up to the smell of your cooking, to feel the security that you and Grandpa made me feel regardless of how uncertain my life ever was. I hope I made you proud, I hope you are looking down knowing that I am everything I am because of you. Your patience, kindness and love of family was the most beautiful gift you gave this world and I promise that I will live every day doing my best to make you proud. I will carry on your traditions, I will share your recipes with my children. I will tell them of the most amazing beautiful woman this earth has ever known and about how her love for all of us was beyond measure. Until we meet again hold everyone tight in heaven and tell them all how much we miss and love them, save me a plate and enjoy the peace in heaven you so greatly deserved in life.
